Our meeting room layouts include classroom style, teaming pods, U-shape style, boardroom, and theatre style. Below is some additional information about the layouts and capacities.

 Classroom

Classroom Style—This is the meeting room setup of choice for instructional or lecture-oriented events where attendees may need to view materials on desks, work on computers, and take notes. This style accommodates up to 36 participants.

Training/Teaming Pods—The best choice for career training, workshops, group learning, team-building, and other collaborative group events. This design can hold up to 36 people.

U-shape

U-Shape Style—Great for collaborate sessions, when people may need to view a screen or speaker in front of the room. The individual participant capacity is up to 22 people.

Boardroom

Boardroom—Ideal for executive presentations for groups with a limited number of participants who wish to discuss company issues. Up to 22 participants can use this room type.

Theatre

Theatre Style—These are our largest corporate meeting spaces. They are most often used for larger meetings such as sales presentations, product launches, and events that don’t require note-taking or computers. This style can accommodate up to 123 people.

Frequently Asked Questions About the MicroTek’s Boston Meeting Rooms

When can I access the room?
You may access the meeting room as early as 7:30 a.m. Contact your MicroTek Account Manager if special arrangements are needed to accommodate your schedule.

What are the hours of operation?
The Boston Center’s hours are from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. If you need special hours for your event, speak with your Account Manager.

Is there parking available?
There is free parking available at both the front and back of the building.

Are there nearby hotels for lodging? Are their discounted rates available?
MicroTek has several partnerships with nearby hotels, and we have negotiated a discounted rate just for you. Just ask for the “MicroTek rate” when you book.

Can I ship my meeting material prior to the event?
We always will accept your shipments prior to your event. Just let us know when your shipment will arrive and be sure to label it with your company name. We will hold it until you arrive.

Stone Zoo (13 minutes by car)
Stone Zoo is a small to medium size zoo which includes rocky forested hillsides dedicated to large habitats for Species Survival Plan programs and low-lying areas densely developed with smaller exhibits for animals. Among the exhibit areas are the Mexican Gray Wolf Exhibit, the Himalayan Highlands (Yak, snow leopards, black-necked crane), Yukon Creek (simulates the Canadian boreal forest with bald eagles, North American porcupines, arctic fox, American black bear, and Canadian lynx), and Treasures of the Sierra Madre.

DeCordova Sculpture Park and Museum (27 minutes by car)
DeCordova Sculpture Park and Museum is the premiere presenter of modern sculpture in the region, which extends over 30 acres of breathtaking lawns and rolling woodland. There is a wide variety of outdoor and contemporary sculptures and installations. Each year, DeCordova attracts hundreds of thousands of visitors from around the world.

Minute Man National Historical Park (9 minutes by car)
This nearby attraction commemorates the opening battle of the American Revolutionary War. The National Historical Park protects 970 acres of land located in and around Lexington, Concord, and Lincoln. The park includes the Wayside, where three noted American authors lived.

Freedom Trail
Traverse the 2.5 mile trail for the ultimate walk through American history. Along the trail, there are 16 sites that were of paramount importance to freedom and civil liberties in the United States. The trail passes through North End, Beacon Hill, and other famous historic Boston neighborhoods. You can enjoy a meal in one of the great restaurants in the area and visit Faneuil Marketplace to do some shopping.

Theater District
Don’t miss the New England city’s riveting Theatre District with its fantastically restored historic theaters featuring everything from Broadway shows and kids shows to Boston Ballet performances, comedy shows, and avant-garde productions.
