MicroTek Completes Wi-Fi Installation Throughout National Network of Computer Classroom Rental Facilities
Oakbrook Terrace, IL, February 3, 2004 – Following through on an instructor’s suggestion, MicroTek announces today the availability of wireless internet access (Wi-Fi) at each of its 10 owned an operated classroom rental facilities. MicroTek, which features over a thousand classrooms ready-made for complex or entry-level computer training, made the upgrade to provide students with a more comfortable and efficient learning environment, and to help them stay connected to the office while they are away for training.
At a chance meeting with MicroTek Vice President of Operations Charlie Brown, Linux instructor Ean Price made the suggestion. “Charlie (Brown) stopped by and asked me if there was anything they could do to improve the experience and I mentioned that the students would love Wi-Fi. Next thing I know it’s there,” said Price. “There’s no place I’d rather teach (than at the NYC MicroTek facility), absolutely nowhere else.”
“We solicit suggestions from our clients, instructors, and students, and take their comments very seriously,” said Brown. “In this case, Wi-Fi presented a great opportunity for us to improve the MicroTek experience for our visitors.”
